Doug explains why companies do not want leases to expire, even in down markets.

Doug provides a positive example of an oil and gas lease review and consultation where landowner was being underpaid by Gas Company who was inappropriately taking deductions. Doug explains how a company employee miscoded the gas lease payments to the landowners Trust and the company was inadvertently taking inappropriate post-production cost deductions for gathering and transportation. As a result of the gas lease review and consultation, this problem will be corrected which will result in a significant benefit to the landowner. It is imperative that all property owners fully understand their leases and royalty checks to make sure royalties are being paid properly.
