15 – 30 Minutes
Beware of landmen presenting first offer for gas lease, pipeline agreement, surface use agreement or any natural gas contract. Remember, the landmen are not on you side  A first offer must be reviewed and negotiated.  Landowners must understand their rights and negotiation leverage to obtain the best possible agreement.  Doug gives a great example of an initial offer for a roadway agreement and how negotiations obtained a great agreement for 30 plus times the initial offer and protected the landowner from taxes and liability.

Attention all Landowners!  Stop being a “signor” and be an informed landowner and make good decisions.  Beware of message boards on the internet and bad and stale advice.  We must learn from prior landowner mistakes and always obtain the best possible natural gas agreement.  Good oil and gas advice for the property owner is the key to success.
